Bioservo signs an agreement for the sale of Carbonhand[®] with Rehasys in Switzerland
Bioservo Technologies AB has signed a distribution agreement with Rehabilitations Systeme AG for the sale of Carbonhand® in Switzerland. The agreement provides access to a new lucrative market and is part of a strong investment in Life Science.
Rehasys is one of Switzerland's leading suppliers of technical and medical aids and rehabilitation equipment for people with limited mobility. The company was founded in 1926 and today has a large customer base and caters to health institutions such as rehabilitation clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, doctors' surgeries and orthopedic and medical stores as well as private individuals. They proactively work to introduce new technology to ensure a comprehensive offering to their customers.
The agreement means that Rehasys will work actively with clinics and other healthcare providers to introduce our latest product, Carbonhand 2.0, in Switzerland, a country that has a well-developed system for prescribing technical aids.
"Switzerland has a well-developed and generous system for prescribing assistive devices. Through Rehasys' market position and broad network of contacts among both rehabilitation clinics and other healthcare facilities, we see great opportunities for a successful introduction of Carbonhand in an exciting market." says Petter Bäckgren, CEO at Bioservo and continues, "Soon we will launch a completely new version of Carbonhand, a strength-enhancing glove for people with reduced hand function. An aid that, according to preliminary data from an ongoing study*, greatly improves grip strength and hand function. Rehasys are ready and eager to present Carbonhand to their customers as soon as the product is available.”
