Bioservo signs distributor agreement with Device Services Australia for the sale of Carbonhand[®]
Bioservo Technologies AB has added yet another new distributor to its network for the global sale of Carbonhand®. The latest addition of distributors is Device Services Australia who work across Australia with specially trained sales staff and clinics.
The Australian market has a number of generous reimbursement schemes for people in need of assistive devices. In addition to the national compensation system NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) for people with disabilities, there are specific schemes for, for example, elderly people, people injured in workplace accidents, war veterans, etcetera. Device Services Australia reaches these through its subsidiary Base Medical, which with its network of specially trained staff around the country sells the products that Device Services Australia distributes and is regulatory responsible for. To ensure good geographical coverage and a successful market introduction, the company has ordered 10 Carbonhand demonstration system worth SEK 350,000.
Device Services Australia was founded in 2007 by Nick Blay, who has more than ten years of experience working to get medical devices approved in the country's reimbursement system, including as a negotiator for the national reimbursement system in particular prostheses and medical devices.
"Demand for Carbonhand in Australia is strong and the national reimbursement system is well developed, which are good conditions for the product to become a relevant addition as an assisting and rehabilitative aid.
