Lonnie Schilling, former executive at Cisco, is appointed Chief Executive Officer of Birdstep Technology ASA
(Oslo, 12 December 2012 Lonnie Schilling is appointed Chief Executive Officer of Birdstep Technology ASA.)
Schilling with his extensive and broad international business experience in the mobile- and venture capital industry will add both strategic and financial value to the company moving forward. Schilling will end his assignment as board member of Birdstep and assume the position as CEO effective today December 12.
Schilling brings 20 years of experience of equity investment, strategic business development, architecture sales and marketing within the international communications market. He was most recently Director, Mobile Service Provider Sales & Business Development at Cisco where he was responsible for building and leading sales and subject matter experts to create and deliver replicable mobility architecture solutions for Cisco´s strategic service provider customers.
Tom Nyman, Chairman of the Board of Directors explains the choice of the new CEO:
