Organisational changes in Birdstep management

(Oslo, October 19th 2009) Matti Mujunen has decided to leave his position as EVP and General Manager Business Unit SafeMove and CEO Birdstep Technology Oy.

“I thank Matti for his commitment and dedication to Birdstep over the years. In light of his contribution and professionalism, I wish him all the best when he now has decided to move on to new challenges” says Torbjörn Sandberg, CEO and President of Birdstep Technology ASA. Mujunen will remain in his current position until year-end. His involvement in Birdstep will then continue as he takes on the assignment as chairman of Birdstep Technology Oy. At the same time Tim Carter is appointed VP International Sales for SafeMove. Carter has been active in the enterprise mobility market since 1995 and comes from the position as VP Sales at Handstep Limited. Tim will report to Torbjörn Sandberg, CEO and President of Birdstep Technology ASA. Helena Salmi, VP Domestic Sales for SafeMove, will also report to Sandberg. Sandberg continues: “I'm happy to welcome Tim as a new employee in Birdstep Technology. Tim's knowledge of customers and partners in the enterprise mobility eco-system will be instrumental in quickly establishing Birdstep as a significant global provider of seamless, secure mobility solutions for the rapidly expanding mobile workforce.”
