Bisnode divests ABC companies

Bisnode has divested the ABC companies offering product information in Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands to a privately owned company based in Luxembourg. The divestment will incur a minor capital loss but have no significant effects on earnings 2010.

ABC compiles company and product registers of the largest companies in Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The information is provided through advertising based solutions on Internet and CD-Rom. The ABC companies have 22 employees and annual revenues of EUR 2.6 million with a negative trend in earnings. The decision to divest the ABC operations in Benelux and France is in line with Bisnode’s strategy to focus on markets and segments where synergies can be fully realised. “ABC will with the new local owner secure its further development in a highly competitive market. Bisnode will continue focusing on its core offering and on realising synergies in its main markets,” says Peter Villa, Business Area Director Product Information, Bisnode.
