Bisnode’s founder Lars Save has resigned as President and CEO of the company. Board Chairman Håkan Ramsin will take over as Working Chairman and Acting CEO until a new President and CEO has been appointed. Lars Save will leave his post at the beginning of February, after which he will serve the company in an advisory capacity for a period.

“Over the past 20 years, Lars Save has developed the Bisnode Group into Europe’s leading providers of digital business information. Lars has chosen to resign at a time when the business is delivering record profits and gearing up for a new strategic expansion phase in Europe. I will be playing a more active role in the company as Working Chairman, and the Board will immediately begin the process of seeking and appointing a new CEO”, says Håkan Ramsin, Chairman of Bisnode.

“2007 was another banner year for Bisnode in every way, and I look back on 20 fantastic years as entrepreneur and industrialist during which I have had the pleasure of leading the Group to the forefront position we now occupy in several markets. We have gone from being a local Nordic player to a true pan-European enterprise with more than 3,000 employees in 19 countries. Since 1987, Bisnode has grown from SEK 125 million to over SEK 4 billion with healthy profitability, and is well poised for the future with its strong organization and outstanding employees”, says Lars Save.

Lars Save will leave his duties as CEO on February 4, 2008 in connection with the regular Board meeting, but will continue to play a senior advisory role for the company and its owners during a period.

In 1987 Lars Save began building up a business area for digital business information within the Bonnier Group. In 2005 Ratos acquired 70 percent of Bonnier Affärsinformation from Bonnier and Infodata was consolidated in the Group the same year. In 2006 the company’s name was changed to Bisnode.
