Report this content

Bitsquid and NVIDIA have a long history of working together to push the performance on NVIDIA’s latest desktop and mobile GPUs. At a very early stage, Bitsquid enabled game developers to target NVIDIA SHIELD, the new Tegra 4-powered gaming and entertainment portable.

“Our collaboration with NVIDIA makes it possible for our customers to develop visually stunning games in record time. NVIDIA’s SHIELD is a great platform for Bitsquid to showcase what can be achieved with our game engine running on NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 mobile processor” says Bitsquid Rendering Architect and co-founder Tobias Person.

Bitsquid is a Swedish game engine licensable for creating high quality computer games, built from its inception to focus on performance, flexibility and productivity. Bitsquid is a multiple platform engine running on PCs (Windows, OS X), consoles (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360) and high end mobile devices (Android, iOS).

Bitsquid has a comprehensive product with an established set of customers. Key advantages over competitors, contributing to an estimated 30% development cost reduction are:

•         A lean code base (estimated 10x -- 15x smaller than our competitors) makes us faster and more adaptable.

•         A focus on fast workflows that allow for sub second iteration times with reviewing on multiple hardware devices simultaneously!

•         The flexibility of the engine makes it usable for a large variety of games targeting a wide variety of platforms. This allows our customers to reuse code, art and personnel across projects and platforms, which further helps to reduce development time and costs.

•         Collaboration features (automatic merging and real time collaboration).
