Bittium exhibits Confidential level version of Bittium Tough Mobile™ smartphone at Cyber Security Nordic event

Oulu, Finland, September 25, 2017 – Bittium will exhibit its information security products and solutions at Cyber Security Nordic event in Helsinki, Finland on September 26-27. At the event Bittium will showcase Bittium Tough Mobile™ LTE smartphone and related Bittium Secure Suite™ back-end system that just recently received official Confidential level encryption product classification from the National Cyber Security Centre-Finland of the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority as the first smartphone based solution in the world. With the solution, it is possible to create and process classified information, as well as transfer it between the smartphone and connected back-end solutions.

At the event Bittium will also take part in a panel discussion. The topic of the panel is “Cyber Security Insight - Expert Panel” and Bittium’s panelist is Mr. Markku Korkiakoski, Director, Cyber Security and Technology Development.

Products presented at the event:

  • Bittium Tough Mobile smartphone includes several innovative features that have been designed for authorities and other professional uses where reliable and secure communication is needed. The Android-based device has a mechanical structure that is a combination of extreme durability and the usability of a modern and advanced smartphone. Bittium Tough Mobile smartphone incorporates a hardware-based security platform, global support for LTE frequencies, professional level audio features, and the possibility to use two different SIM cards.
  • Bittium Secure Suite is a device management and encryption software product that complements Bittium Tough Mobile smartphone with a scalable set of new software services for remote management, remote attestation and securing the network connections of the device. Bittium Tough Mobile smartphone and Bittium Secure Suite together form a unique and reliable system for processing and transferring encrypted and classified material, and securing critical communications.
  • Bittium SafeMove® Mobile VPN software provides secure and seamless connectivity for mobile workers to their internal corporate network regardless of time, location and network. The software enables the utilization of all IP based applications and networks by securing the connections between the work station and corporate services already from the start-up of the device. SafeMove® VPN product provides state-of-the-art data encryption and its intelligence makes it easy to use for the end users. Ease of use is an important security feature. When connections are formed intelligently and always securely, there is no room for user errors. At the same time, employees are left with more time for actual work tasks.
  • Bittium SafeMove® Analytics is an advanced monitoring and reporting module that helps organizations to monitor network connectivity and performance to improve productivity and user experience. The Analytics tool continuously gathers connectivity data such as connectivity status, speed, throughput and bytes transferred, network type and Wi-Fi network information. In addition, the new security features of the software can immediately report possible security deviations in the mobile devices used by employees. This makes it possible to react to cyber threats without delays, e.g. by blocking the device which reported the deviation from the corporate network during the investigation.
