BLAST Premier announces global Spring Qualifiers
BLAST Premier has announced plans for an expanded global Spring Qualifiers, which will span four continents and will be open to over 100 countries with eight spots available in the Spring Showdowns.
BLAST Premier’s Qualifier Series returns in 2022, giving teams from all over the world, no matter how big or small, a chance to compete for a spot in the regional Spring Showdown events and face-off against the world’s best teams.
The eight qualifiers will be run by leading regional BLAST partners in March and April. These events will consist of eight teams competing across three-day tournaments.
Qualification for the eight spots will be organised through these partners in the form of existing tournaments, local leagues, open qualifiers and direct invites in the following regions: South America, North America, Iberia, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Nordics, CIS and South East Asia.

Teams will be competing for a place in the Spring Showdowns (27 April - 1 May), which are split across two regions in Europe and North America/Rest of the World and will be played online - giving more teams and territories a chance to compete in BLAST Premier events than in previous years.
Andrew Haworth, Commissioner for BLAST Premier, said: “We’re delighted that we’ve been able to continually expand and grow these qualifiers year-on-year. We are now in a position where we are working with leading regional partners to offer teams from over a 100 countries the opportunity to feature in our Spring Showdowns. The qualifiers have become a hugely important part of the BLAST Premier and wider Counter-Strike ecosystem - giving teams of all ability and standing a shot at playing on a global stage, against the world’s best.”
BLAST Premier is the world's leading Counter-Strike tournament series, taking place from January to December, which looks to unite all major tournaments, offer opportunities to the underdogs of the scene and be open to a wide variety of regions - while looking to crown the champions of Counter-Strike, with all roads leading to the World Final at the end of the year.
