World’s best Rainbow Six Siege esports players to compete in Atlanta, Georgia for the second BLAST R6 Major of 2023

Copenhagen, Denmark – June 29, 2023 – Today, Ubisoft and BLAST have released details for the last BLAST R6 Major of Season 2023, which is due to take place in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, from October 30 to November 12.  

Building on the successes of the Major in Copenhagen, Denmark back in May, the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta will feature the same 3 phase format with the final weekend playing out in front of a live audience in the Gas South Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dates & location

  • Phase 1 - Play-In: October 30 to November 2 – not open to public 
  • Phase 2 - Playoffs: November 4 to November 8 – not open to public  
  • Phase 3 - Finals: November 10 to November 12 – open to the public at the Gas South Arena, Atlanta)  

With Stage 2 of Season 2023 due to get underway in the coming months, teams across the 9 different regions of BLAST R6 will be looking to become one of the 24 teams to qualify for the Atlanta Major. They will compete for a lion's share of the USD $750,000 prize pool, as well as points to qualify for the Six Invitational 2024 in Brazil.  

North America and the USA in particular have been a core region for the Rainbow Six Siege esports scene since the very early days. At the last Rainbow Six Major in North America in May 2022, the home advantage at Charlotte, North Carolina led DarkZero Esports to their first Major LAN victory. North America will be hoping for similar success in Atlanta come November. 

The BLAST R6 Major Atlanta will be the first Rainbow Six Siege event to take place in the state of Georgia. The region is no stranger to large scale esports events with a number of other esports titles visiting the city in recent years.
