BlueFactory signs global reseller agreement with Ericsson for GARBO BlueFactory - the Swedish provider of mobile technology and services - has entered into a global distribution agreement with Ericsson. The agreement represents a significant breakthrough for BlueFactory, as Ericsson will now market GARBO via their global sales organization. GARBO is a comprehensive, software-based solution for handling of mobile services that facilitates communication between content providers and operators. By using GARBO, operators access a technical solution, which enables cost-effective content delivery to end-users. - The agreement with Ericsson confirms that GARBO is a strong business concept, says Lars Jehrlander, CEO of Blue Factory. GARBO not only complements, but also adds value to Ericsson's mobile components. Operators running GARBO allow end-users to create an individual mobile service portfolio and pay for the chosen services as it suits them best, for instance through subscriptions, flat rates or air-time. - One of the key factors for telecom operators in order to succeed with, and achieve profitability from, their mobile services initiatives is to improve the way they work with content providers and positioning of the services, says Lars Jehrlander. GARBO en-ables several billing options and reduces the time to market when launching new services. GARBO supports existing (e.g. SMS, WAP, GPRS, Java and MMS) as well as future technologies (e.g. 3G). In developing GARBO, BlueFactory has drawn upon its own experience as a mobile services developer. Another important aspect when develop-ing GARBO has been to look to users and their views on what mobile services and content they demand.
