New Book Release: “You Can’t Get to Heaven Wearing Tight Shoes”
Female Author Focuses on Personal Honesty; Provides Readers with Relatable, Hilarious Stories to Guide them Through Life’s Challenges
Taking a few extra paper clips home from the office; talking about your friend behind her back; purchasing a pair of shoes that you can’t afford nor fit your feet into? We’ve all done it – unfortunately. But now, finally there is a book about personal honesty that makes sense of it all, shows us how we are only cheating ourselves, and makes us laugh in the process. “You Can’t Get to Heaven Wearing Tight Shoes: A Book About Personal Honesty,” is written by Dr. Patricia St. E. Darlington and published by Llumnia Press. It is now available at amazon.com, online at www.notightshoesinheaven.com and in Barnes & Noble bookstores nationwide. Dr. Darlington is a female author and award-winning professor, who has taught the principles of communication around the world.
Early on in her life, Dr. Darlington pondered the existence of heaven and hell and wondered what it really took to gain entry into either. In her process of understanding, Dr. Darlington quickly realized what was of most importance: one’s personal honesty. This concept of doing what is right for you, not hiding behind facades (or eye lashes) and most importantly being honest with one’s self is at the center of Dr. Darlington’s book.
She explains: “You can’t get to heaven wearing someone else’s hair, someone else’s nails, a Victoria Secret push-up bra, and claim it’s all yours ‘cause you paid for it! Why? Let’s be honest… ‘Cause tonight you have to take them all off and look in the mirror. That’s why!”
A thoughtful, funny, non-sugar coated, narrative, “You Can’t Get to Heaven Wearing Tight Shoes” is a must read in today’s society, where so often we live for an image or perception and forget, at the end of the day, that it’s what we see in the mirror that’s most important.
