BNP Paribas expands its Securities Services Sales & Client Coverage in the Nordic region
BNP Paribas’ Securities Services business, a leading global custodian with EUR 14.9 trillion in assets under custody[1], today announces the appointment of Struan Malcolm to lead its Sales & Client Coverage for Institutional Investors in the Nordic region.
Malcolm joins BNP Paribas on 15 January 2026, following a distinguished 30-year career in asset servicing and asset management. He had previously held various senior roles, from Deputy Head of Operations, and Director of Transition Management, to Regional Head of Nordic Sales, where he developed a series of client partnerships resulting in significant revenue growth. Most recently, he was Partner and COO of a Stockholm-based FinTech, enhancing digital collaboration between fund selectors and asset managers.
Based in Stockholm, Malcolm will oversee sales and relationship management for Securities Services across all institutional investor client segments in the Nordic region, notably asset owners, asset managers, alternative investors and sovereign wealth funds. He will be in close collaboration with Robert van Kerkhoff, Global Head of Sales & Client Coverage, Institutional Investors for Securities Services.
Malcolm will also work alongside Johanna Sigfridsson, Head of Sales & Client Coverage, Financial Intermediaries for Securities Services in the Nordic region, covering banks, brokers, wealth managers. Both of them will be part of the Nordic CIB Executive Committee, reporting locally to Eirik Winter, CEO Nordic Region & CEO CIB Nordic Region, and globally to Thorsten Gommel, Head of Germany, Austria, Netherlands & Nordics for Securities Services.
