BNP Paribas strengthens its position in the Nordic region with another senior hire

Michael Zeier joins BNP Paribas as a senior investment banker for the Nordic region. In addition to advising clients across sectors, Michael will be responsible for the activities of the Low Carbon Transition Group in the Nordics. “We are very pleased to welcome Michael to BNP Paribas and I am very excited about having such an experienced investment banker on our platform”, says Eirik Winter, CEO for BNP Paribas Group Nordic region

Michael has extensive experience of working with Nordic clients on corporate finance transactions. He was previously responsible for Nordic Investment banking at Goldman Sachs as well as UBS before that. He has also been Co-Head of Large Corporate and Investment Banking at Nordea.

BNP Paribas investment in a dedicated Low-Carbon Transition Group last year, which consists of 150 experts’ globally plus 100 new recruits, is a part of the bank’s long-term commitment to enable, support and drive the transition. Its mission is to advise clients, companies and institutions on their transition to a low-carbon economy. In addition to this, the group assist clients in raising the capital required for this profound transformation (on public and private markets, and through equity or debt).

Michael’s title is Vice Chairman, Investment Banking & Head of Low Carbon Transition Group, Nordic region.
