New Naval Gun order to Bofors Defence Bofors Defence has received a contract from the Finish Navy for two 57- mm Mk3-systems. The system has been developed for all types of conflict and has gained significant interest around the world. The recently qualified 57 mm 3P programmable round provides not only increased target effect but also IM-capability, as it is also qualified against Mil Std 2105B. The 57-mm Mk3 is the only system with all-conflict capability that is fully qualified and in production. - The Finish Navy chooses the 57 Mk3 due to great performance, versatility and low lifecycle cost, said President of Bofors Defence, Magnus Ingesson. Bofors Defence will deliver the two 57 Mk3 systems during second quarter 2004.
