Update: Quartiers takes steps to develop Centro Forestal Sueco with approximately 300 hotel rooms on Marbella's Golden Mile
Quartiers Properties AB (publ) ("Quartiers" or "the Company") is taking another step forward in the development of its hotel property on the prestigious Golden Mile. The next step in the development is now underway, with the appointment of a leading architectural team. The fully developed property, which is located on one of the premier hotel addresses on the Spanish Costa del Sol and in Spain, is expected to have approximately 300 hotel rooms, and the value of the fully developed project is estimated at approximately SEK 3 billion.
Following the Company's ongoing zoning process, which received initial approval from the Marbella Town Council in August 2023, Quartiers expects to receive up to 28,000 square meters of building rights for hotel development across all its properties on the Golden Mile. The Company has therefore decided to develop the property with some of the world's leading hotel architects and will begin the process of recruiting the team in the first quarter. The choice of architects will reflect the Company's commitment to creating unique, high quality, guest-centric destinations.
In recent months, the Company has also been approached by several national and international groups and brands who have shown interest in the development potential of Boho Club. Therefore, the Company is even evaluating various forms of collaboration that could strengthen the project.
