Björn Stenecker – new Chief Procurement Officer at Boliden

Björn Stenecker has been appointed Chief Procurement Officer of the Boliden Group and thereby lead the organization for procurement of goods, services and logistics.

Björn Stenecker, age 42, holds an Engineering B.Sc from Halmstad University and an Executive MBA from Stockholm School of Economics. Björn has 16 years of experience within the field of Procurement within, among others, Ericsson Components, Emerson Energy Systems and IBX. Since 2010 Björn Stenecker is Vice President Global Consulting and Category Management at Capgemini Procurement Services (CPS). In this position Björn is responsible for strategic procurement and leads teams in Europe, USA and India.

As Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) at Boliden Björn will be responsible for Group wide procurement activities for all goods, services and logistics with an annual procurement spend of 9 billion SEK (1.3 billion USD). Purchasing of concentrates and raw materials are not included in the responsibility of the CPO. Björn will take up his new position on August 1.
