Jenny Gotthardsson new General Manager of Boliden’s zinc-silver mine at Garpenberg
Jenny Gotthardsson has been appointed as the new General Manager at Boliden Garpenberg. Her most recent position has been as Mill Manager in Garpenberg. Jenny will take up the position as General Manager on 1 June, 2017.
Jenny holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry and Physical Geography from Umeå University. She has been a Boliden employee since 2000, starting at the Laisvall mine but working at Garpenberg since 2001, where she has held the positions of EHS Manager and HR Manager before becoming the Mill Manager in 2012.
“Jenny has been a member of the team that made Garpenberg the successful operation it is today. She has shown effective leadership during the construction of Garpenberg’s new concentrator and will be an excellent leader, steering Garpenberg on to new successes,” says Mikael Staffas, President Boliden Mines.
As previously communicated, Garpenberg’s current General Manager, Hans Jönsson, will take up the position of General Manager of Boliden’s copper mine in Aitik on 1 June. Recruitment of a new Mill Manager for Garpenberg will commence shortly.
