Kerstin Konradsson appointed as President, Business Area Smelters at Boliden
Kerstin Konradsson has been appointed to head Boliden’s smelting operations, succeeding Svante Nilsson who is, as previously announced, moving to a new position as Director, Group Strategic Projects. Kerstin has most recently worked at the roll company, ÅKERS, as the CEO of ÅKERS SWEDEN AB, and as Divisional Manager for ÅKERS’ casting operations in Europe and Asia. She is a member of the ÅKERS group management team.
Kerstin Konradsson is 44 years old, holds a degree in Metallurgy from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and has extensive experience of the metals and process industries. Kerstin began her career at Elkem Scanlance AB in Höganäs, and then moved to SSAB in Oxelösund, where she stayed for 12 years. She was initially employed by SSAB as a Development Engineer, and subsequently held a variety of managerial positions within the company. When she left SSAB in 2007, she was responsible for the Metallurgy unit in Oxelösund.
As President, Business Area Smelters, Kerstin will be a member of Boliden’s group management team and will report to Boliden’s President, Lennart Evrell. Kerstin will take up her new position 27 February, 2012.
