Bonava has signed an agreement to acquire approximately 550 building rights in northern Kungsängen, Upplands-Bro, Sweden. The zoning plan for the area has been approved and production of the first housing units is expected to begin in 2025.

“This land acquisition strengthens our land bank through the addition of attractive, zoned building rights and creates an opportunity to develop more sustainable homes in Stockholm. This is a strategic acquisition that links the Brunna Park retail site and the Norrboda residential area. We aim to develop sustainable districts here for people to live in,” says Alexandra Laurén, Business Unit President Sweden.

The land in question is located in the Norrboda district of Kungsängen, where Bonava is planning a neighbourhood with mixed types of tenure, with both multi-family and single-family housing. The acquisition also includes building rights for a school, preschool and sports hall.

The project will be constructed in an area adjacent to the Brunna Park retail site, public transport services and existing schools. The area is also located close to nature, including the nearby Lillsjön bathing area.
