Bonava has sold 162 Nordic Swan ecolabelled rental apartments in Västerås to the German property investor PATRIZIA AG. The transaction amounts to about SEK 435 million and the first housing units are expected to be completed and handed over to the customer in the fourth quarter of 2023.

– Västerås is continuing to grow and there is a major need for more homes. The project has an attractive and central location by Lake Mälaren and the transaction is a confirmation that our offering of high-quality rental housing projects combined with our structured process is creating interest among international investors. Together with PATRIZIA we contribute to the development of Västerås, says Fredrik Hemborg, Business Unit President, Bonava Sweden.

Bonava is planning to construct over 550 housing units in the Förseglet block in four stages. The first two stages, which comprise over 320 housing units, is in production with the first occupancy scheduled for autumn 2021. The entire neighbourhood will be complete during the second half of 2024.
