Today, Boozt AB (publ) (“Boozt” or the“Company”) signed an agreement with Element Logic, whereby the Company utilises the option to build an extension to the current AutoStore warehouse automation at the Boozt Fulfilment Centre in Ängelholm, Sweden.

The agreement covers the construction of a new grid next to and in direct connection with the current Autostore grid as well as an extension to the packing tunnel and 13 extra working stations.

The construction of the new grid is expected to be finalised early Q4 2017 and will initially consist of 50,000 bins and 21 robots. New bins and robots are planned to be added during 2018 as volumes grow at the warehouse. The company expects the extended grid to be fully built with 120,000 bins and 120 robots in Q4 2018. This will bring the total capacity at the fulfilment centre to 250,000 bins and 250 robots.

The investment for the first stage of the extension is expected to be around SEK 44 million. Once completed at the end of 2018, the total investment in the second phase of the automation is expected to be around SEK 80 million.

“We have been running our warehouse automation since the end of March 2017 with very encouraging results. For us to keep up with the growth in order volumes, it is important for our fulfilment capacity to be “one step ahead”. Therefore, we have already initiated the second phase of our automation now to be ready for the Spring/Summer 2018 in-deliveries. Adding to the grid gives us full flexibility, allowing us to add extra bins and robots when needed as the order volumes grow during 2018,” says Hermann Haraldsson, CEO of Boozt.
