Olsen brochure of worldwide cruises features a host of exciting itineraries to destinations all over the globe.  These include several epic voyages; longer cruises that offer a fantastically varied experience to some of the world’s most amazing ports of call.

Balmoral World Cruise 2011 - departs Southampton, January 5 for 108 nights

Travelling westward, key destinations are the Canary Islands, the Caribbean, South Pacific, the Cook Islands and New Zealand where she visits Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin. The ship continues on to Australia and a two-night stay in Sydney, allowing plenty of time for excursions, before Brisbane, cruising the Great Barrier Reef, and then Cairns.  Then it is on to Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand and Cambodia before Singapore where there is another overnight stay. This amazing cruise also visits India (Cochin, Goa and Mumbai), then Dubai, Oman and Egypt, before returning home via Malta, with a final call into Gibraltar, before docking back in Southampton.  Prices start from $14,848 per person.

Black Watch World Cruise 2012 – departs Southampton, January 11 for 106 nights

Travelling east for her circumnavigation of the globe, Black Watch heads for Egypt, Oman and India, plus her maiden call to the Andaman Islands, then on to Singapore and Hong Kong, the Philippines and Borneo, before reaching Australia.  A cruise of the Great Barrier Reef and a two-night stay in Sydney are highlights, before crossing the Pacific for the islands of Vanuatu, Fiji, Bora Bora and Tahiti, before South America.  A three-night stay in Callao (for Lima) allows for visits to Machu Picchu and other great excursions, then on to Ecuador, Colombia, the Caribbean and finally the Azores en route back to Southampton.    Prices start from $15,673 per person.  Sectors for this cruise are:

Black Watch South America Grand Voyage 2011- departs Southampton, January 5 for 77 nights.

This epic voyage travels via Tenerife and the Cape Verde Islands to Brazil, with an overnight stay in Rio.  Then on to Uruguay, Argentina, with a two-night stay in Buenos Aires, and the Falkland Islands, visiting Port Stanley. Black Watch then rounds Cape Horn and cruises the Chilean Fjords, with stops including Punta Arenas and Castro, before a three-night stay in Callao for Machu Picchu.  Ecuador, Panama and a transit of the Panama Canal are next, with the last part of the cruise visiting seven Caribbean islands, before returning via the Azores to Southampton.  Prices start from $14,700 per person.  Like the world cruises, this voyage is also offered in shorter sectors:

Balmoral South America Grand Voyage 2012 – departs Southampton, January 5 for 89 nights.

Balmoral’s South America voyage has a different and novel itinerary, taking in parts of North America including the Florida Keys, New Orleans and Galveston.

Departing from Southampton, the cruise heads for the Caribbean, via Tenerife before reaching Key West Florida.  The next ports of call are New Orleans and Galveston for excursions to Houston – both maiden ports for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.  After Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, the cruise visits Central America – Costa Rica, Nicaragua and El Salvador - before heading for Ecuador and on to Peru for a two-night stay in Callao (Lima).  This cruise also visits several Chilean ports, the Falkland Islands, Uruguay, Argentina (Buenos Aires), and finally Brazil, a key focus of the cruise.  The Brazilian sector includes calls into Santos (for Sao Paolo), an overnight stay in Rio, then Salvador, Recife, Fortaleza and Santarem in the Amazon.
