TORONTO, ON – Minister John Baird is playing hopscotch between parliamentary sessions. Olympian Hank Palmer is practicing running in flippers. Hamilton Tiger Cats player Dave Stala is juggling footballs.

They and thousands of adult Canadians across the country are training for Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada’s annual fundraising event, Capital One Race for Kids™, to be held in 20 cities on Saturday, June 1.

Capital One Race for Kids™ is an exciting urban adventure race where teams of four complete a series of wild and wacky Checkpoint Challenges in a race to the finish line!

All funds raised by team entries support programming at local Boys and Girls Clubs, improving the lives of thousands of Canadian children and youth who rely on Boys and Girls Clubs programs and services every year.

Our teams from last year had a fantastic time spending a day with their friends and family participating in a fun community event,” said Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada President and CEO Pam Jolliffe. “We’re looking forward to another successful year!”
