More young Canadians will have access to higher education and skills thanks to an exciting new partnership between Maple Lodge Farms and Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada.

The ‘From the Lodge to the Clubs’ initiative will award educational scholarships to 10 Boys and Girls Club members to enable their pursuit of full-time post-secondary study in the hospitality, culinary and health and fitness sectors at accredited colleges or universities in Canada.

In addition, 10 Boys and Girls Clubs will receive a grant to support programs that allow young people to access food and culinary skills training including cooking classes, safe food handling sessions and instruction from local chefs.

The ‘From the Lodge to the Clubs’ program enables more young people to further their studies beyond high school and will teach other Club members essential life skills like cooking, food preparation and nutrition,” Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada President and CEO, Pam Jolliffe, said.

“For young people, accessing post-secondary education and gaining skills for employment are important steps in their transition to adulthood and achieving their goals. Through the generous support of Maple Lodge Farms, young Canadians are able to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.”

Maple Lodge Farms Senior Marketing Manager, Luana Guglielmi, said the company was thrilled to partner with Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada to increase opportunities for young Canadians.

“As a family-owned and operated company, Maple Lodge Farms takes pride in actively supporting our surrounding communities. Partnerships such as this allow us to make a significant difference in people’s lives,” Guglielmi said.

“That‘s why we’re excited to partner with Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada; to support programs that will provide children and youth with essential life skills and the chance to realize their dreams of obtaining a post-secondary education.”
