Brad’s Deals Releases Cyber Monday 2011 Data
62% of Consumers Shopped for Electronics on Cyber Monday
Chicago, IL – BradsDeals.com, the 2-million-subscriber website for shopping deals and advice, released data finding that 57% of shoppers spent less than two hours shopping this Cyber Monday while only 31% claim to have completed their shopping at work.
“Consumers are making educated decisions this shopping season,” said Brad Wilson, Editor-in-Chief of Brad’s Deals. “They conduct their research, they plan their strategy and they know where to find the best deals online.”
Amazon.com led in popularity with 22% of shoppers claiming to have purchased the majority of their items from here.
62% of consumers purchased electronics followed by toys at 38% and apparel at 24%.
“Electronics will continue to be a hot item this holiday season,” explained Wilson. “Last season TVs led this craze, but this year it will be the tablet. Amazon pricing the Kindle Fire at only $199 has made the tablet an affordable purchase for mainstream consumers.”
