Due to DSB replacing diesel-powered trains with new electric-powered trains, it is also building new, energy-efficient workshops for the maintenance of the new trains.

The new workshops will be used to maintain and repair the new fleet of electric trains. On behalf of M.J. Eriksson, Bravida Denmark is performing all the track-related works, the design of the overhead catenary system and project management.

One of the requests is that the construction work is as sustainable as possible and achieves gold certification pursuant to the DGNB certification system.

“We are proud to be part of this large and exciting project, which has a particular focus on sustainability. It is an important project for Bravida Baneteknik as it creates secure jobs and with its size we can expand our competence portfolio,” comments Johnny Hey, CEO of Bravida Denmark.

The project will start in 2023 and is expected to be completed by mid-2025.
