The civil servant will start her challenge on Friday 18 February 2011 by cycling from Agra, home of the Taj Mahal, to Rajasthan which offers dramatic desert landscape and fantastic wildlife, before ending in the capital city of Jaipur. Clair is taking on the challenge to support her friend Lynne Crangle who was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2009 and to raise awareness of the work done by charities such as Breast Cancer Campaign. In September 2010, Clair completed the Great North Run for Campaign. She said: “Ever since I found out that my friend had breast cancer I have wanted to support Breast Cancer Campaign by taking part in different challenges. I’ve only just started cycling so I think it’ll be a great achievement to go from having very little experience to cycling through India! I am raring to go and I hope that lots of people will dig deep to sponsor me and help the charity continue funding vital world-class breast cancer research.” To help Clair change many people’s lives please www.justgiving.com/Clair-Gunning0 and donate what you can.
