The Health and Wellness Day, which takes place on Saturday 29 January at the Makeney Hall Hotel, will feature a range of fitness classes and workshops to help raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign, a national charity which funds research into breast cancer, and The Queens Hospital Scanner Appeal. There are classes to suit everyone, from massages and facials for those wanting to relax and be pampered, to workshops with useful hints and tips such as healthy eating, nutrition and feeling good. There will also be a Body MOT session where you can have a free assessment and guidance to feeling good and self-massage classes for runners and walkers, perfect if you have taken on a new fitness challenge this year. Actor Steven Blakeley, who plays PC Geoff Younger in the TV series 'Heartbeat', will also be attending to show his support on the day. The Health & Wellness charity event was organised by clinical Pilates teacher Bridgette Bradley. Bridgette said: “Whether you want to relax and unwind or want to find out more about how you can improve your health, this day has something for everyone to enjoy while helping raise money for two worthwhile charities. Classes are on a first come, first served basis so book now to ensure you don’t miss out!” Anyone wishing to attend will be asked to make a £25 donation to either Breast Cancer Campaign or the Queens Hospital Scanner Appeal.
