The Administration Manager at Newcastle City Council will join 54,000 runners on the starting line for the 13.1 mile race in Newcastle on Sunday 19 September to support her cousin, Nicola, who has breast cancer. Jill said: “I’m running to support my cousin and also as a personal challenge for myself. I want to help the excellent work of Breast Cancer Campaign, so I hope lots of people will dig deep to sponsor me for my running challenge and help the charity take a step closer to beating breast cancer.” Her husband is a chef at local restaurant As You Like It and they are also supporting the cause by helping Jill host a “Pink Ladies” night to raise funds. Friends and family will join Jill in a pink themed night of fun at the restaurant with a meal, raffles and games. Prizes up for grabs are courtesy of As You Like It, The Theatre Royal, Tyneside Cinema, and The Hair Lounge in Gosforth.
