Laura will join thousands of runners on the starting line on Sunday 7 March after her grandmother and a few family friends had breast cancer. Laura said: “I have always run to keep fit but now I want to do this challenge to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Thanks to early detection, my nan and family friends are ok but there are many women who aren’t so fortunate. I want to run for all the 45,500 women that will sadly be diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK this year.” To help Laura reach her fundraising target of £200, please visit http://original.justgiving.com/laurapolson1 and donate what you can. The money Laura raises will help Campaign fund innovative world-class breast cancer research throughout the UK and Ireland. Breast Cancer Campaign has places available on its running team for the Bath Half Marathon, so if you would like to join Laura in the race to beat breast cancer, please call the Events team on 0207 749 3700 or visit www.breastcancercampaign.org. Closing date for entries is Friday 5 February 2010.
