The Accountant will join thousands of runners at the starting line on Sunday 25 April in memory of his mother Merrilyn who sadly passed away from breast cancer June 2008. Craig, who is originally from Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia, said: “I’d like to run the marathon to honour the memory of my mother and also to help raise funds for research and treatment of cancer so that, hopefully one day, others do not have the experience of losing their loved ones to this devastating disease.” He added: “I would love nothing more than enduring some ‘pain’ while I pound the pavement in training and again on race day, in the hope that I can contribute to easing the pain and suffering of others by supporting a most worthwhile cause.” To help Craig reach his fundraising target of £2,000 please visit www.justgiving.com/craigminter and donate what you can. Craig is also holding a charity lunch on Sunday 7 March at the Lantern Restaurant, Whetstone. It’s £20 for a three course meal including a donation which will go directly to Campaign. For more information please call Craig on 07918 924035.
