Press Release For immediate release: 8 March 2010 Press contact: Louise Garrahan, Media Relations Officer, Breast Cancer Campaign, DD 0207 749 3724, Email: lgarrahan@breastcancercampaign.org Local runner’s marathon effort to fund breast cancer research Budding runner Susan Bradley, from Wandsworth, South West London has pulled on her running shoes to train for the Virgin London Marathon in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign. The Learning and Development Consultant will join thousands of runners at the starting line on Sunday 25 April in memory of her mother Barbara who sadly passed away from breast cancer in 2000 aged 52. Susan said: “By running the London Marathon for Breast Cancer Campaign, I will not only be doing something to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of my mother’s death and celebrate her life, but also to contribute to raising funds and awareness for a disease that is all too common and affects far too many women, men and their families. I am proud to run for the Breast Cancer Campaign as a tribute to my mum and everyone who has ever, or will ever, be affected by breast cancer.” To help Susan reach her fundraising target of £2,000 please visit http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/SusanBradley and donate what you can. All money raised will help Campaign’s mission to beat breast cancer by funding innovative world class research into the disease throughout the UK and Ireland. If you have a place in this year’s Virgin London Marathon and would like to join Susan on Campaign’s running team, please call the Events team on 0207 749 3700 or visit www.breastcancercampaign.org. As a Campaign runner you will automatically become a member of Linford’s All Stars – a new exclusive club captained by Linford Christie, who offers supporters helpful training tips and nutritional advice.
