Olympic Bronze Medallist to celebrate Ladbrokes’ support of Breast Cancer Campaign Olympic Bronze Medal Heptathlete Kelly Sotherton will be the special guest of Ladbrokes as it celebrates its support of Breast Cancer Campaign at Leicester Racecourse on Monday 25th October. Sotherton, who won bronze at the 2004 Athens Olympics and came fourth in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, will headline the launch event and speak in support of the cause in the specially designated winner’s enclosure before the first race. It will be the third year that Ladbrokes has supported Breast Cancer Campaign and the company is looking raise £100,000 for the charity which funds world class research into beating breast cancer. Each year Ladbrokes have organised a month long period of fundraising, culminating in wear it pink. In addition staff have been given access to breast awareness information and other educational materials Liz Monks, Fundraising Director for Breast Cancer Campaign commented: “Each year, 46,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer, which equates to 1 person being diagnosed every 12 minutes.
