Patricia will join hundreds of competitors to swim, cycle and run around Dorney Lake, Buckinghamshire on Sunday 12 September 2010 in memory of her mother and aunt who both sadly passed away from secondary breast cancer. Patricia who previously took part in cycling challenge, Pedal it Pink, for Breast Cancer Campaign, said: “After taking part in the cycle ride and raising over £1500, I was really determined to do more for Breast Cancer Campaign and also continue my get-fit goal for 2010. After losing more than four stone with the help of my personal trainer Shelley Baker from TRIFITS-U, she persuaded me to enter a novice triathlon in July which I loved and am now training with her for the HSBC Triathlon which is a sprint distance. I hope lots of people will dig deep and sponsor me for this challenge and help Campaign continue funding vital breast cancer research.” Patricia, 50, is taking on the triathlon with Shelley an experienced triathlete and another of Shelley’s clients, Sara Compton, and hopes to raise over £1000. If you would like to help Patricia reach their fundraising target, please visit www.justgiving.com/patricia-ivory and donate what you can.
