Women from all over Scotland will cycle a marathon, half marathon or family 5k lap while raising money for breast cancer research and Breast Cancer Campaign needs you to sign up and help put the brakes on breast cancer. Catriona Wright, Events Manager at Breast Cancer Campaign, said: “We’re thrilled that lots of women are gearing up for Scotland’s very first Pedal it Pink event but we’d love even more women across the country to encourage their mothers, sisters and best friends to sign up too. Not only is the event for a good cause but cycling is also great for your general fitness, so please sign up and show your support for the 4,000 women that will sadly be diagnosed with breast cancer in Scotland this year.” If you would like to take part in Pedal it Pink, which is sponsored by Santander, please register on the day from 10am onwards at the event village which is situated in Holyrood Park near Dynamic Earth and Scottish Parliament. It costs £15 for the marathon, £10 for the half marathon and £5 for the family 5k lap, which is also open to men and children. There are no bike hire facilities on site so please come ready to cycle.
