The Pink Pearl Auction, organised by Soroptimist International of Tynemouth, Whitley Bay and District, will be held in Whitley Bay’s Trojan Rooms on Sunday 17 October as the climax to the clubs month-long pink fundraising in support of the charity. The club has been fundraising throughout October as part of Breast Cancer Campaign’s Paint the Town Pink fundraising initiative, where the charity aims to turn North Tyneside as pink as possible to help raise funds for breast cancer research. Items to be auctioned include a pink ladies bicycle, Whitley Bay FC memorabilia, cinema tickets, a guided walk, Tyne Idols tickets, beauty and hairdressing vouchers, a meal for two, medical acupuncture, Thrillin Pillion Ride Harley Davison Experience and lots more. There will also be live entertainment and music throughout the evening, with music from The Union until late.
