Whitley Bay Football Club will turn out in pink shirts for their home match against Newcastle Benfield on Saturday 16 October. The shirts will then be sold online with the proceeds going to charity, with one signed top being donated to the Pink Pearl Auction taking place at Bay’s Trojan Rooms on Sunday 17 October. Colin Norford, Breast Cancer Campaign’s Head of Community Fundraising said, “This is the second time that Whitley Bay FC have worn a pink kit for Breast Cancer Campaign and we are thrilled they are able to support us again and help make a difference for the 46,000 people that are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK.” Find out how you can get involved with Paint the Town Pink in North Tyneside this October at www.breastcancercampaign.org/paintthetownpink or call 020 7749 4114.
