B2 Bredband Announces Sale of 3G share to Orange Stockholm, Tuesday October 2, 2001. B2 Bredband AB (publ.) ("B2" or "Bredbandsbolaget") is pleased to announce today that it has reached an agreement with Orange SA for a sale of B2 Bredband Mobile 34% share in the 3G consortium Orange Sverige AB. Following the purchase Orange SA now holds 85% up from 51%. The other shareholders are Skanska with 10%, NTL with 3% and Shipsted with 2%. The agreement reflects B2 Bredband's sharper focus of its core business of deploying a fiberbased broadband network and providing broadband services to residential users. Today B2 Bredband is providing high speed Internet access of 10 Mbps to 46.000 subscribers out of 144.000 connected households in 32 cities in Sweden. The consortium Orange Sverige AB was awarded a UMTS license in December 2000.
