The Breeze-Studio is delighted to be the official media partner for The Magenta Project.

“We’re chuffed to bits that The Magenta Project has chosen us to be their media partner,” says Liz George of The Breeze-Studio.

“By giving a small, start-up media company a chance to operate at this level reflects their whole ethos of helping to provide opportunities within their sport. We’re proud to be working with some amazing and generous women.”

Libby Greenhalgh of The Magenta Project says: “It is fantastic to have Liz and The Breeze Studio onboard as our media partner their expertise is invaluable. This has and will continue to allow us to better position our brand and build the awareness of The Project in the sailing community and beyond in order to achieve our goals".

The Project has been set up with the aim of advancing women in the sport of professional sailing.

The goal is to increase the percentage of professional female sailors competing in premier events from less than 3% today to more than 10% by 2020. It also aims to champion diversity within the on-shore support teams.

It is currently seeking charitable status and in the long term plans to set up The Magenta Academy to coach and mentor, as well as help fund, up-and-coming female sailors and provide apprenticeship opportunities within associated trades.

The Project was started by the 13 members of Team SCA: This was the first all-female team in twelve years to compete in the Volvo Ocean Race.  It has now evolved into a global campaign backed by top sailors and organisations worldwide.

The Breeze-Studio is a digital media and PR agency, started by Liz George two years ago specialising in sailing and aviation PR. Liz George was a former presenter with CNN International covering news and current affairs and fronting their sailing feature programme: Mainsail.
