Press, For Immediate Release: Brewers and Brewers Home continue their support of the Eastbourne Rotary Clubs’ Tree of Light

On Wednesday 24th February at 3pm, representatives from each of the five Rotary clubs presented cheques to both local and national charities at the Brewers Home store in Eastbourne.

The charities receiving cheques on the day were Children’s Respite Trust, Cruse Bereavement Care, Embrace, Riding for the Disabled Association, and the Salvation Army. In all, £7500 was donated; the largest sum that the Tree of Light project has raised to date.

Each Christmas, the Rotary Clubs of Eastbourne come together and organise a special Christmas tree, situated outside the Congress Theatre. The tree is decorated with white lights; each one dedicated to the memory of a loved one.

Individuals are invited to sponsor a light in memory of a loved one and the money raised benefits a number of charities. Brewers, along with several other local companies and organisations, supports the Tree of Light project with sponsorship.

The Brewers Home in-store coffee shop was on hand to provide the attendees with a selection of refreshments during the presentation.
