Release Date: 1st July 2010 Good Garage Scheme launches new training scheme The UK-wide Good Garage Scheme has teamed up with Delphi to provide its members with ATA certified air conditioning systems training. It is aimed at helping Good Garage Scheme technicians gain the appropriate qualifications if carrying out operations on air conditioning systems containing F gas refrigerants, which will become a legal requirement by July 4. The two-day course includes training in the removal of F gas refrigerants from all mobile equipment when air conditioning systems are under maintenance, or prior to disposal of equipment. Participants are then assessed on day two. If members book the course they can get a 15 per cent discount off the RRP for air conditioning tooling, save up to £450 on an air conditioning machine, stock up on lower priced consumables saving 15 per cent and 10 per cent on any further ATAs book through Delphi. Phil Dugmore, Good Garage Scheme Technical Manager, said: “It’s a complete package. The first day involves the training, setting them up for the assessment on day two. We’ve teamed up with Delphi to offer members a training course that is ATA certified, covers technicians for the change in the law and gives our members exclusive discounts when booking a Refrigerant Handler ATA course.
