K3 Business Technology Group (K3) the UK’s SYSPRO ERP specialist has announced that SYSPRO will join the Microsoft Technology Adoption Programme (TAP). This initiative aims to deliver a consistent method of customer feedback on Microsoft .NET based products prior to general release. TAP helps independent software vendors with the development of high quality, feature-rich and functional products. K3 reports that Microsoft selected SYSPRO to be part of the TAP after the successful development of the new .NET-based Workflow Services module embedded within the award-winning enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. SYSPRO Workflow Services is an important part of SYSPRO 6.1, which will be introduced in the UK in the summer of 2010. This advanced module provides users with an easy visual method for managing complex processing of data without the need to understand computers or programming. SYSPRO is working with Microsoft on the development of the Windows Workflow Foundation. This is a Microsoft technology for defining, executing, and managing workflows. It provides a programming model, in-process workflow engine and hostable designer to implement long-running processes as workflows within .NET applications. SYSPRO will provide feedback as well as suggested software enhancements during the development phases. Howard Joseph, Managing Director, K3 Business Technology Group, said: “TAP is an important Microsoft initiative that helps deliver maximum benefit to a wide range of software users. Therefore, we are extremely pleased that SYSPRO is included in the programme. SYSPRO is a Microsoft Gold Partner and former Microsoft Developer of the Year. It enjoys a close working relationship with Microsoft and this announcement reinforces the relationship. K3 also champions the need for customer feedback to constantly improve and refine SYSPRO so that we continue to add value for our business customers.” - Ends-
