Brighter AB (publ), announced today that the company has entered into a collaboration agreement with Chronos Care (Chronos Labs AB) to conduct a “Proof of Concept” to verify Brighter’s Actiste service and evaluate the potential for future commercial collaboration in Sweden to provide accessible diabetes care to all, anytime, anywhere. During the proof of concept, Chronos Care will also provide Brighter with feedback on Actiste Diabetes Management as a Service (ADMS) from physicians and nurses who work with Chronos Care and its patients.

The scope of the collaboration includes using the ADMS for six (6) months to evaluate the benefits generated by the connected ADMS and its foreseen added value on patient adherence, quality of life, and the healthcare provider's possibility to interact with the patient based on input related to his or her real-life data. Ten (10) patients diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes will be selected to participate in the proof of concept. The patients will be given the opportunity to use ADMS (either with Actiste or Actiste Mini, depending on their circumstances) free of charge for six months, within the Brighter Ambassador Program.

“At Chronos Care, we are on a mission to change the lives of millions of people living with diabetes all around the world. We approach this by combining tech with healthcare. As we're joining the Ambassadors Programme at Brighter, we hope to combine the best from both parties to ultimately come closer to providing the absolute best and most scalable diabetes care worldwide” says Vidar Duvnäs co-founder and Business developer.

“This strategic collaboration will help Brighter hear the voices of both patients and health care providers in Sweden. Furthermore, it will be an important step towards our commercialization phase, since it comes during the launch phase of the Actiste Mini in the country, and Chronos patients will be the first to use Mini in Sweden,” says Christer Trägårdh, acting CEO at Brighter.
