The Swedish organization Swecare, which works for increased export and internationalization of Swedish healthcare and life science, last year founded the ‘Swecare Rising Star Award’ to raise awareness of companies with an innovative product or service that is considered to have a high probability for global success.

Brighter is one of the nominated companies for the Swecare Rising Star Award 2019.

“We are very glad that the progress we have achieved in the recent past is recognized and that others also believe in our vision and our services. In 2018, we took a big leap forward through the establishment of a subsidiary in Dubai along with AFAQ Group, and now we are charging for the first commercial deal and further global expansion. Swecare has been a valuable partner for us in our start-up phase and we look forward to continue working together for increased internationalization of Swedish innovation going forward,” says Truls Sjöstedt, Brighters CEO and founder.

About the Swecare Rising Star Award
Swecare Rising Star Award was established in conjunction with Swecare's 40th anniversary in 2018. The award is aimed at members that, with small means and great involvement are active in the network and contribute to the development of the organisation by sharing their successes and failures, they stand at the beginning of their internationalization efforts and are able to demonstrate that they have succeeded in putting themselves on the map. The prize will go to a real ‘fighter’ that excelled during the past year and a company which we predict will reach substantial success globally.

About Actiste
Brighter's solution Actiste® handles most of the self-monitoring and treatment of insulin-treated diabetes in a single easy-to-use device. Measurement of glucose levels, insulin injections, automatic logging, and timing of all activities are performed from a single unit. Actiste is connected via an autonomous and secure mobile connection, and information can be automatically shared with selected recipients through The Benefit Loop®, Brighter's open cloud-based service where data is collected, processed and analyzed with patient consent.

Validated user-generated data, such as glucose levels or insulin doses, can be automatically transferred electronically to many different constituents. The patient selects when and how data is shared and who will have access to it. Through The Benefit Loop, different services can motivate patients with chronic illnesses to change their behavior, which can save lives, reduce relatives' concerns, and release enormous healthcare resources. https://actiste.com/
