Brighter AB [publ], today announced the User Experience collaboration with two Swedish health centers, one in Halland and the other in Västra Götaland, is making progress. Brighter´s senior diabetes nurse Lisa Malm shares her observations from onboarded patients.

“Feedback has been very positive from patients regarding the functions of the Actiste service, especially for the Brighter app that aims for patients to get a clear overview of treatment data to better manage their diabetes,” says Lisa Malm.

All treatment data logged on the Actiste device is automatically synced with the Actiste Companion app. The app is part of the Actiste service and is available for both Android and Iphone.

This user experience study is performed together with insulin treated diabetes patients. Patients' experience with using the Actiste diabetes management service during a period of 90 days will be compared with the patient experience from the current diabetes monitoring devices.

“Clinical tests are not the only important criteria. With the usability collaboration we test that the functions, features and overall purpose are in line with what users want by observing the users' needs with managing diabetes in everyday life. The Actiste service aims to give the patient with insulin-treated diabetes an increased understanding of the disease and help them with the motivation to follow treatment recommendations,” says Lisa Malm.

”I am very excited about the progress in this project. The collaboration with the health centers does not generate revenue, but strengthens the company's position in the Swedish market and provides valuable insights that can support further commercialization,” says Christer Trägårdh.

Onboarding patients will continue for another two to three weeks. Brighter aims to present a summary of the project at the end of this year.
