This is an English translation of previously announced information on 23 December and 28 December, that was only published in Swedish.
Following the information published on Wednesday 23 December regarding Brighter’s CEO Henrik Norström being under investigation of the Swedish Economic Crime Authority for market abuse in the securities market, Henrik has decided to take a time out from his assignment as CEO. The decision has been made in consultation with the Board. Henrik denies the charges and is not detained.
Brighter’s new board member Christer Trägårdh, starting 1 January 2021, will assume the position as CEO until further notice. Emilie Erhardt Winiarski will remain acting Chairman of the Board.
“The Board respects Henrik's decision and Christer has both the experience and the competence to lead the company forward. Christer has worked very closely with the board and the company for a long time and have good relations with the management team. His focus will be on further accelerating the company's growth with a solid commercial focus,” says Emilie Erhardt Winiarski.
Henrik Norström will be at the company's disposal to support the management in its continued efforts.
The Board has initiated an internal investigation with the help of lawyer Olle Nykvist at Cirio Advokatbyrå and the company is cooperating with the authorities.
