Nectarine Health initiates test phase ahead of US launch
Brighter's subsidiary Nectarine Health, which has developed a remote monitoring solution using AI technology to give seniors the confidence to live independently in their own home for longer, is now initiating a test phase with c. 50 users as part of its planned launch in the US. The test phase will run through the spring and is expected to transfer into the commercial phase during the second half of 2021.
“The US is the primary market for the launch of our service and we are excited to be making steady progress towards a potential commercialization of our home care product later this year. We believe that our solutions can help families looking after their elderly loved ones in new more proactive ways when supported by this technology, and we see significant potential in the US market” says Matthias Tietze, CEO of Nectarine Health.
The test phase means that trial users will get access to the product to install it in their home and provide feedback. The users' feedback on the user experience will then form the basis for further fine-tuning in the development of the product, software and service.
About the product
Nectarine Health has developed an AI-based remote care solution to enable seniors to live a full and independent, safe life in their own home for longer. The solution consists of a high-tech wristband, plug in sensors in the home and a digital platform (mobile application). The system analyzes the wearer's behavioral patterns, detects emergencies or changes in behavior, and automatically alerts relatives or caregivers when needed.
The wristband has a discreet and stylish design, 9-12 months battery life and is waterproof, so that the wristband can be worn at all times. The associated sensors are easily installed in wall sockets, and have been developed with "plug and play" technology so that consumers can easily install the system themselves in their home.
