Brighter AB (the Company) announces today that the Swedish Tax Agency has decided to demand repayment of deductions for employer contributions in 2020 and 2021. The company is required to repay a total of SEK 4,424,520.

The decision from the Swedish Tax Agency states that it does not allow deductions for research and development (FOU) in employer declarations where the Company has made deductions for employer contributions for employees who work with FOU.

Nectarine Health's management and board have discussed with lawyers and with the Tax Agency's handlers and believe that the decision is incorrect and will therefore request a review.

"The company believes that Nectarines Health's research and development work should fall under the rules that apply to FOU. We will send in a more detailed description of how we work with this," says Christer Trägårdh, chairman of the board at Brighter AB and Nectarine Health.

The company currently has no information on when the decision on the review request will be made.
