Improving Dementia Services in England - BGS Comment
BGS Press Statement on: ‘Improving dementia services in England’, National Audit Office Interim Report, 14 January 2010 Professor Peter Passmore, BGS Dementia Lead said: “We welcome this report, pointing out as it does the importance of dementia and the need to implement the dementia strategy where possible. We are also concerned that clarity around implementation is less than ideal. We would welcome efforts to ensure that commissioners and those who are charged with planning are given the necessary “clout” to ensure that due priority is given to the strategy and that resources are accounted for in the way that they were intended.” For a copy of the report visit: http://www.nao.org.uk/publications/0910/improving_dementia_services.aspx For more information, contact Iona-Jane Harris T: 020 7608 8573 or 07766 227724 Notes to Editors 1.
